Today I was fortunate to be reunited with my good friend and colleague Dr Annie Whybourne at The Royal Darwin Hospital. It was reassuring to see so many colleagues at my presentation on Complex Movement Disorders, sharing how the funds raised through Fly for the Kids will help to establish the RCH Complex Movement Disorders Program, which will be available to patients across Australia.
It was heartwarming to receive such an enthusiastic and encouraging response from all present, and I truly appreciated the opportunity to share my dedication and commitment to making the Complex Movement Disorders Program a reality. Following the presentation, Annie kindly showed me to their brand new Paediatric ward where I got to meet many of the wonderful staff on duty.
Jess and Andrew
The highlight of my day was a visit from one of my patients, Jess. I have known and cared for Jess since she was two years old and to see her today looking so well just made my day. Annie looks after Jess now and has done a wonderful job of her care – she is in very good hands. My sincere thanks to Annie for today’s event and Jess, I enjoyed every moment of our catch up.
